HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid(AFA)
The unit applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.
We are currently collecting expressions of interest in this course. Due to the nature of the practical assessment, requiring multiple ‘casualties’, it is essential that we have 5 or more participants. Please contact the team to register your interest and we will contact you when we schedule a course.
Over Two Days – Normally 8am to 5pm
The qualification is valid for three (3) years from date of issue, however CPR requires refresher training every 12 months.
$380.00 per participant. GST Free
We have a minimum attendance of 5 people due to the nature of the practical assessments.
Participants should have previously achieved a first aid or advanced first aid certificate in the last 3 years before enrolling in Advanced First Aid, proof of this will be required. Participants should have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the training.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin (placed on the floor) for a period of two minutes. If you have a current injury poor mobility or please discuss this prior to enrolling.
Enrolments for participants under of the age of 18 is not excepted for this course.
