In a relaxed and enjoyable environment, you will achieve the skills and knowledge to effectively Provide CPR & Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue. The course covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus and can be contextualised for your workplace. Commonly referred to as LVR CPR, the course is essential for any electrical worker.

Qualification Validity

Both the CPR unit and LVR require refresher training every 12 months. Our student management system will remind you when your units of competency’s are due to be refreshed.

Course Cost

$145.00 per participant. GST Free

A group booking for 8 or fewer participants is $1160, then $145 for every extra participant. Training can be held at your workplace or our training room. Please email or speak to one of the team to arrange training.  We have a corporate portal that allows training managers to self manage staff enrolment in either a corporate booking or in one of our public courses.

Entry Requirements

Pre-requisite – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Enrolling in this course, students will complete both CPR and LVR courses, with CPR being delivered and assessment prior to LVR. If you wish to enrol in only LVR, a recent Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 will need to be provided.

It is recommended participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the training.

Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin (placed on the floor) for a period of two minutes and performing the ‘one man drag’ of another participant or 70kg manikin. If you have a current injury poor mobility or please discuss this prior to enrolling.

Minimum Age

Enrolments for participants under of the age of 16 are not accepted for this course. Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian.

Requirements for Successful Completion

Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training, and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements

Participants will need suitable LLN skills to complete the following tasks/skills:

  • Read information from a PowerPoint and whiteboard
  • Listen and understand verbal information by an English-speaking trainer
  • Complete written incident report forms in English
  • Read and answer a multiple-choice & short-written question paper
  • Listen to instructions of an Automated External Defibrillator where prompts are delivered in English and count to 30
